Job Title: Senior Data Engineer Location: OH - Columbus What you'll do: The Senior Data Engineer will be working with tech leads and peers and business stakeholders to plan, design, and implement, support, and maintain critical data applications based on the strategic and regulatory needs of Western Alliance Bank. What we are looking for: Essential Functions: Develop ETL and data pipelines considering how data is created, transformed, maintained, stored, archived, analyzed, and shared across Western Alliance Bank and our partners. Implement built-in quality and compliance- by-design in all data solutions. Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to gain a working understanding of business requirements and operational processes. Participate in testing, deployment, production support activities. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience in data management and/or data analytics 8 years’ experience with data engineering specifically in Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) concepts and processes, enterprise data warehouse capabilities, database principles, and other related tools and technologies; preferably strong to expert level skills in SSIS and Azure Data Factory Expert level experience SQL Server T-SQL Understanding of Azure, Azure Data Engineering techniques and Azure DevOps Experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data design Exposure to Object Oriented Programming using C#/Java/ Python Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with for AML Platforms like Actimize Experience integrating with data quality, data catalog and data lineage tools.
